Only midday here in the UK, but most fascinating read of Friday so (non-intensifier!) far. Thoroughly enjoyed your sparring, and whilst I don't agree with all views expressed, I was challenged to reconsider (consider a thing again...) and engaged all the way through. Oddly enough, two qualities I am never not wowed by in a poem, or any piece of good writing!
Wholeheartedly agree re: 'Ward of One' being top of pile, and disagree to the same degree re: 'On Hearing...'. Not a thin poem at all - might be better served up / digested as 5 vignettes perhaps. The breaks are present there for me.
